J ohn T. Blute – John is a lifelong resident of Harwich and a second generation funeral director. He graduated Harwich High School in 1987. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Salve Regina University in Newport, RI and an Associate’s Degree in Mortuary Science from Mt. Ida College in Newton.

John worked at Doane, Beal & Ames and Nickerson Funeral Home on Cape Cod as a Funeral Director and General Manager for 18 years. John was involved in managing several funeral homes throughout the Northeastern United States for many years. He joined Morris & O’Connor in 2009 when they formed Morris, O’Connor & Blute Funeral Homes.

John lives in Harwich with his wife Jodi (Hempel), and three children Jack, Maura and Charlotte who all attend Harwich schools.

John is a lifelong member of Holy Trinity Church in West Harwich. He is also on the Board of Directors of Allen Harbor Yacht Club in Harwich Port and serves a the Second Vice President and Board Member of the Harwich Chamber of Commerce.
