A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thurs., August 16 at 10 AM at St. Pius X Church, So. Yarmouth. Visiting hours will be held on Wed. Born and educated in Dorchester, MA, Richard (Dick) proudly served in the armed forces as a Marine. He was a graduate of Boston University and worked for New England Tel. & Tel. for over 35 years. As a resident of Bass River for 48 years and a political and news addict, Dick was a proud member of the Democratic town committee for many of his retirement years, until illness restricted his activities. Dick was also an avid reader and NE sports enthusiast who took up skiing in his late forties. He was, moreover, an Irish tenor with an unrivaled rendition of Danny Boy, a dry wit, and a great storyteller who loved traveling and then returning to his well-loved Cape Cod. He loved his family, his country and his God, and will be greatly missed by those who loved him.
