Richard A. Peterson, 81 of Harwich passed away peacefully at Cape Cod Hospital on December 13, 2012. He was the wife of Lorraine B. Peterson for 60 years.

Richard was born in Attleboro and worked for many years as a Firefighter. He and Lorraine lived in North Attleboro before moving to Cape Cod in 1975. He served during the Korean War in the US Coast Guard.

Richard was the father of Karen Peterson of Harwich, Mark Peterson of Brewster and the late Jill (Peterson) Winters. He also leaves 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, a brother Paul Peterson of Yarmouth and a sister Phyllis Perreault of Plainville.

There are no services. Burial will be private.
